Maria’s interest in the human body and how it functions started when she was a swimming teacher, watching how people move in the water. She then met and studied with Steven Shaw, the founder of The Art of Swimming, which emphasises the Alexander Technique and mindfulness in swimming.
Maria is also a student of yoga. She gained her yoga teaching certification in India. She also has a diploma in holistic and medical massage therapies. In 2015, she completed her training with Thomas Myers (of Anatomy Trains) and is a board certified Structural Integration Practitioner.
You can also find Maria on Koh Samui in Thailand where she frequently works as a visiting practitioner at the award winning Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary.
Maria has a passion for pre-natal comfort and post-natal care. She regularly attends courses to stay current and update her skill set. She is passionate about movement and how it can relieve pain and discomfort. She is committed to educating and helping each client with a focus on foot health and the ease of walking.
